Who:

Founded in 2017, the Katie Grace Foundation operates in honor of 15-year-old Katie Grace Weingartner. Through our work, we vow to live like Katie, where giving is easy, and smiles are free. We want Katie’s compassion for kindness through acts of community outreach to live on, reaching far and wide. In her name, we support the community with dignity and grace contributing to those in need of a helping hand. 

What:

Our Community Outreach Program redistributes product donations from community sponsors to nonprofit partners who support vulnerable populations, enabling us to save the environment while helping those in need. Our program currently partners with 150 local nonprofits in our community. Donating $4m in brand new products to more than 50,000 northern Nevada community members while simultaneously saving 350,000 lbs. From the landfill. In doing so our nonprofit partners can maximize their budget as we provide them with the necessary resources. 

When:

Nonprofits visit our website and fill out the nonprofit partner application. After the vetting process they can then request items the organization needs for their client population. Katie Grace staff then pulls the order and the nonprofit comes to pick it up. The warehouse is also open to the partnered nonprofits Monday-Wednesday to pick up snack foods, cleaning supplies, and vitamins for their program.

Where:

Currently serving the Northern Nevada community. With the goal for expansion to more cities and states. 

Why we need your help:

In an era of growing needs and shrinking government resources, nonprofits are being asked to do even more with less, placing additional strain on their already limited resources. Public and private funding for nonprofits tend to focus on building and expanding programs, as opposed to investing in organization' core infrastructure, organizational growth, and leadership development. As a result, many nonprofits are starving for the kind of support that can strengthen their operations, enable them to deliver their services more efficiently and ultimately help create a strong economy that is good for all sectors. 

The Katie Grace Foundation supports these nonprofits with donated new products. However the foundation has substantial financial needs to aid its own infrastructure for the provision of these services and growth needed to serve more communities.
